2008 Archive: Overview
UST Executive Conference on the Future of Health Care
Seize the opportunity to drive change.
In partnership with Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. and LarsonAllen LLP
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday, November 7, 2008
The University of St. Thomas and its partners created this event specifically to support health care executives in creating and implementing strategies for success in a new reality. Rather than allowing the health care environment to shape their business, they could begin to drive the change they want to see.
The first annual event addressed two of the major issues impacting the future:
-
Health care financing – How government and private health plans will contain costs as they strive to improve quality and consumer engagement
- Delivery systems – How major health systems will handle cost pressures while they struggle with a reduction in reimbursement, increasing competition, and the need to deliver consistent care across their organization
Expert panels shared their vision of these issues and related topics, and facilitated dialogue and strategy sessions among conference participants. Visit our Speakers and Sessions archive pages to learn more about the panel speakers and breakout sessions.
